Change master password

Keep your account(s) extra safe by updating your password regularly.

In order to change password, you will need to remember your current password. You can't change the password if you forgot it. Check out this article if you forgot your password.

Step 1: Open the OpenBit extension and click on the list item at the top left corner to get to the Settings section.

Step 2: In the Settings section, select “Security settings”.

Step 3: Choose "Change wallet password".

Step 4: In the Change password screen, fill in the required information and tick "I understand that OpenBit can't recover the password".

Once done, click "Save".

Make sure your password is well-kept.

OpenBit is non-custodial, so you are the only person who knows your password; we can't help you restore it once it is lost.
